Aims

Patients admitted to epilepsy monitoring units (EMUs) for diagnostic and presurgical evaluation have an increased risk of seizure-related injury, particularly in the many cases in which medication is withdrawn. The purpose of this study was to assess the prevalence of adverse events (AEs) in this setting and to analyse associated clinical factors and costs.
