Answers

(1) The serum perampanel concentration increased by 2- to 3-fold within two weeks. The steady state is reached between six to eight weeks. However, a slow carbamazepine tapering schedule should be considered to avoid an acute elevation of the concentration.

(2) Every one to two weeks, for up to eight weeks. After eight weeks, both careful monitoring and perampanel dose adjustment are needed to minimize the risk of adverse events.
