Necrotizing soft tissue infection (NSTI) is a rare but severe and rapidly spreading infection leading to potential mortality and devastating morbidity in the paediatric population. Streptococci, staphylococci, and polymicrobial infections are classically implicated in patients with NSTI. Optimal management involves immediate appropriate antimicrobial therapy and debridement surgery.
