A 73-year-old woman with no relevant medical history presented with an eruption on her lower abdomen and thighs that had appeared suddenly three weeks before. Physical examination revealed erythematous papules with a peripheral pale halo which blanched on diascopy (figure 1A). Dermoscopy showed distended vessels surrounded by a diminished vascular network (figure 1B).
