Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is a group of hereditary mechanobullous disorders resulting from mutations in the genes encoding basement membrane zone proteins in the dermal-epidermal junction [1]. Although the precise prevalence is not known, some EB patients show cutaneous hyperkeratotic lesions due to recurrent traumas which can produce scaling and pain [2].
