A 52-year-old Japanese man presented with multiple nodules that had been present for approximately five years. He had been diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) at the age of 25. During the course of the disease, he developed anti-phospholipid syndrome and lupus nephritis, and was treated with corticosteroids, cyclosporine, and/or mizoribine.
