The term “dermal melanocytosis” encompasses a group of pigmentary disorders associated with melanocytic proliferation. Acquired forms are uncommon; they have similar histological features with the congenital ones but show a puzzling clinical distribution, not corresponding to any of the existing forms [1]. Acquired dermal melanocytosis (ADM) reportedly occurs mostly on the face, while extrafacial involvement is very rare [2].
