Psychologist's tasks in accompanying therapeutic patient education in nephrology

Summary : This article displays the hospital psychologist's tasks in a nephrology department and his function in the multidisciplinary staff of Therapeutic Patient Education (TPE). The article points out that the psychologist cannot act as a substitute for the whole Therapeutic Education Program but he plays a main part in supporting the staff (dieticians, nurses, physicians, pharmacists…) and helping the patient with his chronic disease step by step.
