Résumé   Article gratuit

Author(s) : B. BASTIA, P. MONGES, S. GENSOLLEN, M.-C. BONGRAND, P. TIMON DAVID

Summary : Two reasons did push us to study for four months the prescription of injectable ciprofloxacin our hospital : a very important raise on consumption and as well a commercialization for a new dose of this molecule. We could observe than the high posology of this antibiotic has been generaly used for serious infections, whith gram– bacteria. As it has been notify in the contents of the product. So, the commercialization of this new dose at 400 mg, which is the double of the initial, does not seem to cause or to affect any problems. We were only afraid to see doctors using systematicaly this new dose, leading an overcost. This fear seem to be not based.

Keywords : fluoroquinolones, ciprofloxacin.
