Integrity testing of terminals membrane filters : feasibility study in Dijon Hospital

Summary : In Dijon Hospital, the water meant for hands chirurgical washing is microfiltred with a terminal 0,22 mum filter. But these filters can be destroyed in the course of utilisation either perforating or filling in. With the object of Quality Insurance, the Committee of fight against nosocomial infections (CLIN) proposed to test systematically the integrity filters with physical and not destructive method : the bubble point test. The feasibility study, in Hospital Central Sterilization as shown that the duration of the tests was mean two hours per day. At the present time, a staff increase is necessary for this Insurance Quality Programm.
