Schedule of conditions for the choice of a urine collector

Summary : All two years, the Hospices Civils from Lyon (HCL) conclude an invitation to tender for the choice of the different medical material. The selected collector of urine available in all hospitals belong to HCL. Many of the patient hospitalized in Henry-Gabrielle, hospital of functionnal reeducation, are para- or tetraplegic. And the selected collector of urine is often inadequate at those patients. So, in the perspective of improvement of treatment’s quality and of costs rationnalization, the pharmacy is concerned by this problem and want to make the schedule of conditions. A questionnary is given to the hospital nurse and trials made in all service. The results show the main criterion as the widenning of the drip chamber, the reinforced hanger, the outlet pipe with plastic clamp and with a protective sheath and a recevable cost.
