Différences de comportement de quelques sols de la pampa argentine par rapport à un possible changement climatique

Science et changements planétaires / Sécheresse. Volume 6, Number 2, 183-7, Juin 1995, Note originale

Résumé   Summary

Author(s) : Rafael Oscar Rodriguez, Norberto Ramon Fernandez, Istituto Clima y Agua, CIRN-INTA, CC 25, CP 1712, Castelar Pce, Buenos Aires R, Argentine.

Summary : We examined the behavioural differences of certain soils and their spring wheat yield production capacity with respect to possible climatic change. An ecophysiological model (Ceres wheat) was used and compared to a model of general atmospheric circulation (GISS) using four pedological series of different soils. The behaviours differed as a function of extractable water quantity in each soil series: according to the parameters of climatic change used, the soil series with the lowest value for extractable water also had the smallest yield. This was due to a reduction in crop cycle and the creation of increased water stress.
