Summary : Some philosophic and human thoughts after last Chevreul’s days about the growth of using vegetable sources and its impact on the future of humanity. The conquest of new market by green products is now possible. It’s an opportunity for oleo chemistry. We must take an advantage of this situation, but we don’t make the same errors than petroleum chemistry. Mankind is more important than profits! Bio-fuels, bio-lubricants, bio-detergents will be in the live to come good solutions to improve our environment and our quality of life.
