Developement and the hygiene quality of foods New demands concerning food safety in the international trading of farm products and processed foods, and how they will affect African countries that export oilseed products

Oléagineux, Corps Gras, Lipides. Volume 8, Number 3, 246-50, Mai - Juin 2001, Dossier : Soja, arachide, coton : aspects des conditions d'évolution des filières

Résumé   Article gratuit

Author(s) : Michel BLANC

Summary : The new international trade rules request more and more foodstuffs quality and sanitary requirement. These constraints of sanitary security impose to the African exporter countries of oleaginous products (oil, cake, edible groundnuts...) to set up some actions to guarantee the products quality throughout the production and transformation process (good agricultural practice, HACCP process, self-control, treacibility...). Without a quick set up of this measurement those countries will see all the usual trade closed for them particularly in Europe.

Keywords : food safety, trade.
