Colorectal cancer, the second cause of cancer-related mortality, affects 42,000 new individuals per year in France. Therefore, it is a major public health issue. Intestinal obstruction is a frequent mode of detection and a therapeutic emergency.

Although very common, there is no consensus on the management of obstructive colorectal cancer, and it is subject to debate at multidisciplinary medical meetings.
This work will provide a global vision of the management of obstructive colorectal cancer in France, to offer responses to various questions.

Patients enrolled in this study were treated between 2000 and 2015. This retrospective multicentre study reflects the practices of management of obstructive colorectal cancers in France. Furthermore, it has the interest of not limiting the analysis to patients having undergone surgery, also evaluating the results of a strategy including endoscopic management or simple monitoring.
