One of the aims of the "Plan Cancer" initiated in France in 2003 was to ensure equal opportunities as regards prevention and, where necessary, treatment of cancer.
Sadly however, this is not the case, since major differences exist, not only in the prevention of occupational risks or those related to the environment and lifestyle, but also in terms of access to screening programmes, diagnosis and therapy.
