Psoriasis has been shown to be associated with an increased risk of lymphoma. Evolution of psoriasis to cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) may be a result of chronic immune stimulation and lymphoproliferation. Moreover, misdiagnosis and/or immunosuppressing/immunomodulating therapies may account for the higher risk of lymphoma in psoriatic patients.
